Kingswells

Kingswells is a charming village suburb of Aberdeen City, situated on the western outskirts of Aberdeen less than six miles from the city centre.

The village, which has a population of just over 5,000 residents, is serviced by a dual carriageway leading to the city, making Kingswells an ideal commuter village for those who work in Aberdeen or the surrounding areas. Its convenient location also offers easy access to Aberdeen Airport and the nearby areas of Bridge of Don, Westhill and Dyce.

The village is home to active community centre which offers various activities such as football training, Brownies, Scouts, dance school and much more. Kingswells is well served by an excellent selection of local amenities within the village, including a restaurant, pharmacy, hairdresser, veterinary surgery, convenience store and a gym. Kingswells is rich in history, and has existed as a village for centuries, but it was only in the 1980s that it became the popular residential area that it is today after it expanded greatly following a boom in the oil industry during this period.

The village is surrounded by the gorgeous Aberdeenshire countryside and Bucks Burn, a stream which feeds into the River Don, flows through the heart of the village. Additionally, there is a private wood which is open to the public, where you can stroll amongst the trees and enjoy a woodland meander on the outskirts of the village.
