History of Bucksburn

Named after the stream that flows through it, Bucksburn was formerly a market village before being swallowed up by the spread of the city and today has a population of just over 8,000 residents. This popular suburb, which is located to Aberdeen’s north-west, is an ideal home base for those who work in the city centre or in the nearby industrial estates of Dyce or Bridge of Don, and the town is ideally placed for access to Aberdeen International Airport.
