2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of ASPC. Over five decades, we have been at the forefront of property marketing in the North East of Scotland. To commemorate this important milestone, our 2019 calendar takes us on a journey around the area to showcase the beautiful location in which we work and live.The calendar features a selection of specially commissioned photographs by the acclaimed Aberdeen-born photographer Ray Smith, who captures the location in a unique and engaging way.Our calendar image for December displays a spectacular image of the Montrose Basin and Rossie Viaduct, revealing the true beauty and history of the area. This month’s blog showcases some festive events being held in the North East in the lead up to Christmas.

Aberdeen Christmas Village – Until 31st December 2019With Christmas rapidly approaching, get into the festive spirit with a trip to Aberdeen’s Christmas Village. Complete with an open-air ice rink, festival food and an agenda of live entertainment guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained. Take a wander around the Christmas in the Quad market, keeping an eye out for Santa himself! Opening times vary, however the village is open from midday to 11pm during the week, remaining open slightly later on the weekend.

BBC Festival of Sport and Sports Personality of the Year – 15 December 2019Try your luck at securing tickets for one of the biggest awards nights in the sporting calendar. On the 15th of December 10,000 will gather, with millions watching live on TV, at the P&J Live arena. This black-tie event is presented by Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan, celebrating the momentous achievements of the nation’s top sportspeople. In the days leading up, locals have the opportunity to try out different activities, with BBC Sport talent offering advice and encouragement.

Cinderella – Various dates throughout December 2019Join the crowds at the must-see production of Cinderella, performed throughout December at His Majesty’s Theatre. This family panto is the highlight of Aberdeen’s festive theatre calendar, boasting a star cast and the ultimate combination of singing, dancing and special effects. Tickets start from £14.50.

Santa at Crathes Castle – 14th - 22nd December 2019Taking time out of his busy schedule, Santa and his trusty elves are stopping at Crathes Castle for five days in December. Your little ones will enjoy the magical experience and will receive a gift from Santa for staying on his nice list! Tickets are £6 per child, with slots every half hour from 10am until 3:30pm.

Hogmanay in The Haughs – 31st December 2019The Haughs in Turriff are hosting this year’s biggest indoor Hogmanay party in the North East! This party is host to some of the best-loved bands in Scotland, boasting a headline act of The Red-Hot Chilli Pipers, accompanied by Mànran. A fantastic family night complete with food and a well-stocked bar, this New Year’s won’t be one to forget.
