Milltimber

Milltimber is an attractive village situated between Peterculter and Bieldside in the Lower Deeside area, to the west of Aberdeen. The village is well placed for commuting on the A93 road and offers easy access to Aberdeen by car or public transport, with regular services to Aberdeen city centre.

Cults is 5 minutes drive away and offers a range of well-stocked grocery stores, pharmacies and places to eat, with several options for cafes and takeaways. Meanwhile, a 5-minute drive in the opposite direction will find you in the scenic town of Peterculter, which gives visitors even more options for shopping and eating out as well as the Peterculter Sports centre, providing a state of the art gym and swimming facilities. 

The nearby Kippie Lodge sports and country club gives its members a great place to work up a sweat, or relax and unwind. The facility offers a range of fitness classes including everything from boot camps to yoga sessions, as well as an onsite pool and a popular restaurant serving a menu of locally sourced produce.  

Schools in Milltimber

Milltimber School is a primary school in the heart of the village, making it accessible on foot from most areas of the village. The school has a nursery facility, meaning it is an excellent option for pre-school age childcare.

The nearby secondary school is Cults Academy, a 6-minute drive from Milltimber and well served by public transport. Cults Academy is the largest state school in Aberdeen, with around 1,170 pupils attending the school. The majority of pupils have attended one of the four primary schools in the catchment area; Cults Primary School, Culter School, Lairhillock Primary and Milltimber Primary.
