Benalmadena Pueblo is the original heart of Benalmadena and still remains a typical Andaluz village, in the foothills of the mountains nearly three hundred metres above sea level, sweeping down to the shore. Benalmadena Costa is a coastal strip enjoying nine kilometres of attractive natural sand, shingle and man-made beaches. Residents can stroll along one of the most attractive promenades in Europe and enjoy the seafront restaurants and shops. The Castillo De Bil Bil, a neo-Arab construction built in 1934, is both a visitor attraction and excellent viewing platform out over the Med. There is also a beautiful marina, Puerto Deportivo, which is one of the most "happening" places on the Spanish coastline and was voted the best in the world by International Property Magazine in 1995. It is said that the Marina rivals many others and it's hot on the heels of swanky Puerto Banus when it comes to the best place to see and be seen.

Arroyo De La Miel is the third part of Benalmadena and is situated between the old town and the coast. It has a lively commercial and business buzz, and is also a pleasant residential area. There is a cable car ride up Monte Calamorro that enjoys breathtaking views of the coastline, sea and surrounding countryside. On a clear day you can see the Atlas Mountains of North Africa.

Banalmadena is only eight kilometres west of Malaga's international airport and can be reached within two and a half hours from London and the drive to Benalmadena will take you approximately fifteen minutes on the N-340 national road.
