Elemental Nature
ASPC has held a photography competition, now in its 4th year. The response has always been very encouraging and the standard of entries impressive throughout. This year’s invitation to enter, resulted in 300 entries, which we at ASPC find very encouraging.
We have chosen twelve winners. In addition to receiving a modest gift, each will be featured on our website home pages - one per month.
In this month’s winner, a stunning capture of an elemental Aberdeenshire, at Sauchen, Linda Leckie has given us a reminder of how the forces of nature - biological, meteorological, and atmospheric can combine to produce an effect both awe inspiring and beautiful.
The blazing sunset, the dark squall approaching, the bare, harvested, fields, and the stark outline of the tree are all archetypically part of the approach of winter, in these parts. A cold day to be out, and rain imminent, but what an awesome spectacle.
If you’re interested in learning more about each one of our images as part of our photography competition, then why not take a look at one of our previous submissions, here.
